Bognor Regis Remembers
Published: 10 November 2025
On Sunday 9th November 2025, Bognor Regis Town Council, Ex-Service Associations, Saint Wilfrid Church and The Salvation Army held the annual Remembrance Sunday Service at the War Memorial on Clarence Road, Bognor Regis.
The Parade, organised by Mike Monk from the Royal Air Force Association Bognor Regis branch and led by Parade Marshall, Staff Sergeant Aden Huff of the Army Cadets, was one of the largest seen in Bognor Regis in recent years, and featured Veterans as well as representatives from local Scout and Cadet forces.
The Service taken by Father Keith Hodges of Saint Wilfrid Church, the Parish Church of Bognor Regis Town Council, included music from The Salvation Army Band, led by Graham Paul, the two-minute silence, wreath laying ceremony and playing of The Last Post and Reveille by Bugler, Alf Hughes.
With the Union flag flying from the recently reinstalled balcony flagpole and the Poppy Wall created for the Bognor Regis Armed Forces VE Day commemorations earlier in the year, draped over the balcony, the scene was set for the gathered crowds, wreath layers, dignitaries, Town Councillors and other attending organisations to pay their respects to the fallen.
Following the conclusion of the Service, participating organisations were invited into the Council Chamber for refreshments and were addressed by the Mayor, Councillor Mrs. Gill Yeates as well as the Deputy Lieutenant, Mr. Gary Shipton.
Bognor Regis Town Council would like to thank everyone involved in the organisation of and participation in the Parade and Service and of course, to the hundreds of residents who lined the streets of Clarence Road.
We Will Remember Them.
