Bognor Regis in Bloom Annual Competition 2025 Now Open!

It’s that time of year again where the gardening gloves are on and the Bognor Regis in Bloom competition is upon us.

All residents and businesses within the five wards of Bognor Regis can enter the annual competition, which has been revamped for 2025.

Martin Greenfield, Allotments & In Bloom Officer at Bognor Regis Town Council, said: “Bognor Regis in Bloom has been going strong since 1992, and the Working Group has decided to change things up a bit and introduce new categories for this year’s competition.

“The competition has always been well supported by the residents and businesses of the town, and so we are hoping for a bumper crop of entries in 2025.”

The categories are:

1. Best front garden, any size

2. Best residential balcony, window box, hanging basket or container

3. Best edible front garden

4. Best business frontage to include window boxes, hanging baskets, etc.

5. Best neighbourhood, street, locality or residents’ association, sheltered or residential accommodation

6. Best sustainable, environmentally and wildlife-friendly planting, to include back gardens

7. Best ‘community space’ to include pub and other eatery gardens

8. Best impactful display of sunflowers

9. Best flower or vegetable plot designed and looked after by a child (at home), up to and including 15 years of age

10. Best vegetable plot at a school

Entrants can compete in up to three categories, and forms can be downloaded from the Town Council’s website: www.bognorregis.gov.uk, or can be requested from the Allotments & In Bloom Officer: allotmentsinbloom@bognorregis.gov.uk

Entry forms should be returned to Bognor Regis in Bloom c/o Bognor Regis Town Council, Town Hall, Clarence Road, Bognor Regis, PO21 1LD by no later than 28 June.

Entries will be judged during July, with an awards ceremony held in October.
