West Sussex Waste Prevention Community Grant Fund

West Sussex County Council, in partnership with Biffa will soon be launching an opportunity for community organisations in West Sussex to make a real difference in waste prevention and sustainability, through the Waste Prevention Community Grant Fund.

Applications will open on 13th January 2025. This initiative will provide grants of up to £5,000 to support projects that empower local communities to tackle waste and promote sustainability, ultimately reducing household waste.

Applications to the fund should focus on one or more of the following areas:

• Reducing waste at its source.
• Encouraging reuse and repair.
• Promoting recycling education.
• Preventing food waste.

• Engaging communities in waste prevention activities.

 

Eligible groups such as community organisations, schools, charities and social enterprises are encouraged to apply. Detailed eligibility criteria and application resources are available on the WSCC website here.
