On Sunday 10th November 2024, Bognor Regis Town Council, Ex-Service Associations, Saint Wilfrid Church and The Salvation Army held the annual Remembrance Sunday Service at the War Memorial on Clarence Road, Bognor Regis.

Crowds in their hundreds gathered to pay their respects to those who had made the ultimate sacrifice, fighting for our freedom.

The Parade, organised by Mike Monk from the Royal Air Force Association Bognor Regis branch, featured Veterans as well as representatives from local Scout and Cadet forces, and was led by Parade Marshall, Staff Sergeant Aden Huff of the Army Cadets.

The Service was taken by Father Keith Hodges, of Saint Wilfrid Church, the Parish Church of Bognor Regis Town Council, and featured once again, The Salvation Army Band, led by Graham Paul.

Wreath layers, dignitaries and other participating organisations were invited into the Council Chamber for refreshments following the Service, and were addressed by the Mayor Councillor Miss Claire Needs as well as the Deputy Lieutenant, Mrs Olivia Pinkney and Mrs Alison Griffiths MP.

Thank you to all those who were involved in the organisation of and participation in the Parade and Service and of course, to the many residents who gathered by the War Memorial, to pay their respects.

We Will Remember Them.
