New Mayor and Deputy elected for 2024/2025

 MAYOR CLLR. MISS. NEEDS AND DEPUTY MAYOR CLLR. MRS. YEATES

At the Annual Town Council Meeting held on Monday 13th May 2024, Cllr. Miss. Claire Needs was elected as the new Mayor of Bognor Regis, taking over from the previous Mayor, Cllr. Francis Oppler. The new Deputy Mayor is Cllr. Mrs. Gill Yeates.

Cllr. Miss. Needs was delighted to be appointed, by her fellow Town Councillors, and is looking forward to being out in the community, as much as possible during her year in office. 

The Mayor's charity for the year is Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice, and her Consort is Mrs Jane Smith. 

Also new in post, following Monday's Meeting, was AC Ashley Wightwick-Hotston, who will serve as Mayor's Cadet for the next twelve months. Ashley replaces AC Kraig Melville-Bellwood, who was thanked for his dedication to the role. Both were presented with certificates.
