Tree Planting in Waterloo Square

Published: 15 March 2023

As part of its commitment to the Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC), Bognor Regis in Bloom has organised the planting of ten mature Cordyline trees in Waterloo Square.

As many of you know, the QGC is a nationwide initiative created to mark the Platinum Jubilee and intended to create a living legacy honouring a lifetime of service by Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Today, the Mayor Cllr. John Barrett joined members of the Bognor Regis in Bloom Working Group in Waterloo Square to assist Arun District Council’s tree planting team and to admire the newly planted trees.

It is hoped the trees will serve as the Town’s lasting tribute to Her Majesty’s extraordinary service to her Country and her people.
