 UPDATE! 

The Bognor Regis Neighbourhood Development Plan has successfully passed examination.

On 9th June 2015 the Examiners Report concluded that subject to modifications in the report, the Plan should proceed to referendum.
The report can be viewed by clicking on the link here.

 The Next Stage

Following the last round of consultations the Neighbourhood Plan will now be submitted to an independent examiner by the 22nd  May 2015. His report is expected to be received by 2pm on the 11th  June 2015 and will be published on the 12th.

Bognor Regis Town Council will then review the report before advising Arun District Council of their decision on any of the examiners recommendations.

Today is the last day to register your comments on the Neighbourhood Plan for Bognor Regis.

Publicising a Plan Proposal - Consultation 1st April 2015 – 13th May 2015

Please be advised that Bognor Regis Town Council has submitted to Arun District Council Local Planning Authority Area (LPAA) their Plan Proposal under Part 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.

This means that the Town Council is proposing to produce a Neighbourhood Development Plan for the proposed area. The government’s Localism Act has introduced a new type of community-led initiative known as a Neighbourhood Development Plan which set out policies on the development and use of land in the proposed area.

 As required by the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 Part 5, Reg.16 Publicising a plan proposal; please see below part (a) of the publication being undertaken. Part (b) comprises of notifying any consultation body which is referred to in the consultation statement submitted in accordance with Regulation 15 and will be sent electronically to the relevant bodies.

There will be a notice in the West Sussex gazette on Wednesday 1st April 2015

A big Thank You to everyone who took the time and trouble to comment on our Draft Neighbourhood Plan. We will now collate all the comments and make any necessary changes or alterations in preparation for the next stage of the process, which will be to submit our Plan to Arun District Council (Regulation 15).  The plan will then undergo another round of consultation and be assessed by an independent examiner. Watch this space!!!

The consultation period for the Draft Neighbourhood Plan ends at noon on Christmas Eve. Please ensure your comments are returned by then.!!! 

 

From the 12th November until 24th December 2014 the Neighbourhood Plan for Bognor Regis is available for you to view and comment on.

It is your opportunity to let us know if we have got it right. The draft plan can be viewed here on line or there are hard copies at the Town Hall, The Picturedrome, The Regis Centre and The Library if you prefer.  There is also a response form for your comments and feedback.  Please complete and return.

 Following the six week consultation all the comments we receive will be reviewed and any necessary amendments or additions will be edited into the plan before it is submitted to Arun District Council.

Please take a moment to have a look and let us have your feedback.  It is an important planning document that will be material in shaping how Bognor Regis will develop.

NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN COMMITTEE

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Local residents and interested parties are being asked to get involved and help shape the future of Bognor Regis. The Neighbourhood Plan will be set up to look in detail at different aspects of the Town, including:

Planning & Housing Economy, Business and Tourism

Regeneration Community and Infrastructure Provision

Roads & Transport Greenspace and Leisure Facilities

Seafront & Beaches
